Forces 2026.9.0

Download: App Store Google Play macOS Windows

Forces v2026.9.0 makes Meta Overview and a new World Map tab free for everyone, adds a Synergies tab to Meta, teaches Game Plan to read actual weapon stats instead of just names, and introduces an experimental way to import an army list straight from text.

Meta Overview, Now Free For Everyone

The Meta Overview tab — army stats, top factions, and trending units for any game system — no longer requires Forces Pro. Meta also grew two new tabs:

  • World Map (also free for everyone) — reported army counts and top factions by country. Tap a country for details.
  • Synergies (Forces Pro) — the strongest unit pairings and most common list archetypes for a faction, with a breakdown of how the data is calculated.

A Smarter Game Plan

Game Plan now factors in each weapon's range, strength, AP, damage, and abilities — not just its name — for advice that's more grounded in what your army can actually do on the table. The Enemy Army field is also bigger and multi-line now, so you can add real detail even after picking a quick-select faction.

Experimental: Import From Text

Paste an army list exported from the official Warhammer 40,000 app, the official Age of Sigmar app, NewRecruit, or ListForge, pick the game system and faction, and Forces rebuilds it as an editable roster — Age of Sigmar regiments and Battle Formations included.

Also In This Release

  • Improved Battlefleet Gothic support, including mathhammer calculations.
  • Fixed Age of Sigmar 4th Edition prayers not showing their Chanting Value.
  • Fixed the Synergies tab breaking on iOS, and some factions showing the wrong colour on charts and badges.
  • Warhammer 40,000 9th Edition rosters can now be edited (experimental), if you already have the repository installed.

Desktop

Added a Selection Tree panel to the unit detail screen — toggle it open to see a unit's full selection breakdown alongside its stats, with hover tooltips for cost, rules, and stat-line detail. Also fixed the edit sidebar wrongly prompting to discard changes that had already been saved.
