Forces 2026.4.2 is a big desktop update, bringing several of the most-requested mobile features to macOS, Windows, and Linux — plus some cross-platform additions.
All Platforms
New Themes
Four new themes join the theme picker on iOS, Android, and Desktop:
- Kanagawa Wave — deep ocean blues and muted greens from the Japanese woodblock aesthetic
- Tokyo Night — a cool dark theme with neon accents
- Steamy — warm industrial tones inspired by steam-powered machinery
- Everforest — a nature-inspired palette built around forest greens
Theme categories have also been reorganised for easier browsing. Open Settings → Theme to switch.
Unsupported Game Systems
Rosters from unsupported game systems can now be opened. If Forces doesn't have a dedicated view for a game system, it will still display the roster data in a generic format rather than refusing to open the file.
Warhammer 40,000 10th Edition
Improved roster editing support for two Space Wolves units:
- Wolf Guard Headtakers — model groups now default to the correct count (3/6), weapon options are displayed and selectable, and weapon counts correctly scale when adjusting model numbers
- Wolf Scouts — size variant groups (6 Models / 12 Models) now correctly reveal their nested weapon option groups when selected
Desktop
Mathhammer
Mathhammer is now available on Forces Desktop. Calculate hit and wound probabilities, expected damage output, and survivability for any matchup across eight supported game systems:
- Warhammer 40,000 10th Edition
- Warhammer 40,000 9th Edition
- Age of Sigmar 4th Edition
- Age of Sigmar 3rd Edition
- Warhammer: The Horus Heresy 2nd Edition
- Kill Team 2nd Edition
- Warcry
- Aeronautica Imperialis
Open Mathhammer from the Window menu or from any unit's detail panel using the calculator button in the toolbar.
Meta Reports
The meta analysis screen is now available on desktop. See which armies and units are trending across competitive play for your favourite game system — open it from the Window menu.
Stratagems Browser
Warhammer 40,000 10th Edition stratagems are now browsable on desktop. Filter by faction and detachment, or search by name and keyword. Access it from the Window menu, or from the ⋯ toolbar menu in any open roster.
AI Summaries (Forces Pro)
AI-powered analysis comes to desktop with a Forces Pro subscription:
- Unit Analysis — select any unit and choose AI Analysis… from the ⋯ menu in the detail panel, or ⌘⇧U from the unit view
- Roster Summary — open File → AI Summary… or press ⌘⇧I to get a full tactical breakdown of your roster
Both features use the Forces AI backend. Results are ready in a few seconds and can be copied to the clipboard with one click.
